Claudia Faniello è un nome italiano, sappiamo tutti delle tue origini italiane, ma vorremmo conoscerti un po’ di più, parlaci un po’ di te
Sono un libro aperto! Sono come mi vedete! Amo la vita, la musica, e soprattutto le persone. Mi piace viaggiare, incontrare nuove persone e fare nuove esperienze, un’altra ragione che mi spinge a voler andare in Ucraina e incontrare tante persone che amano Eurovision. C’è molto altro da dire ma non voglio occupare tutto il tuo tempo!
Quando hai scoperto la tua passione per il canto? E sei stata influenzata dalla musica Italiana, soprattutto napoletana?
Penso di essere nata cantando! Ho iniziato da piccola perché vengo da una famiglia di musicisti. E si, sono stata molto influenzata dalla bellezza della musica italiana, date le mie origini. È intramontabile.
Noi italiani a Malta siamo molto fieri di te, in quali caratteristiche o abitudini ti identifichi come italiana?
In molte cose, il modo in cui parlo, il modo in cui gesticolo quando spiego qualcosa e la passione. Perché gli italiani sono molto passionali. Oh, e certamente adoro il buon cibo! Bring on the pasta!
Parliamo di Eurovision… considerando che Malta ha sempre ottenuto ottimi risultati nel concorso, quale sarà la tua motivazione in più per raggiungere la top 3?
Non è mai facile perché la competizione è sempre ottima. Io canterò una canzone che mi ha dato molte emozioni, e spero di riuscire a trasmettere quelle emozioni al pubblico. Farò del mio meglio, sapendo di avere il supporto dal mio paese.
Sul palco ci saranno tante emozioni, tu canterai “Breathlessly” e rappresenterai la tua nazione, come ti stai preparando a un evento cosi importante?
Sono una persona semplice, non farò nulla al di fuori dell’ordinario. Resterò concentrata, e farò quello che faccio sempre, tenendo in mente che non è solo la mia canzone ma la canzone del pubblico…quindi andrò sul palco e canterò col cuore.
Da donna a donna… Chi preparerà il vestito e il trucco?
Il vestito sarà disegnato da uno stilista chiamato Gaetano, lo stesso che ha preparato il vestito delle finali, il make up spetterà a Justin. Ho tenuto la stessa squadra
Ti aspetti i 12 punti dall’Italia?
Nella vita non mi aspetto niente, però certamente mi farebbe piacere il supporto degli Italiani. È tutto ciò che posso umilmente chiedere.

Claudia Faniello is an Italian name, we all know you have Italian origins but we’d like to get to know you better, can you tell us something about you?
I’m an open book! What you see is what you get! I love life, I love music, and most of all I love people. I like to travel and meet new people all over and make new experiences. One other big reason to look forward to going to Ukraine and meet so many Eurovision loving people. There is much more to say of course, but I do not want to take all your time!
When did you find out about your passion for singing? And have you been influenced by napolitan and Italian music?
I was born singing I think! It was at an early age because I come from a musical family. And yes, having Italian roots I am very much influenced by the beauty of Italian music. It is timeless in my opinion.
Us Italians in Malta are very proud of you, in what characteristics or habits do you identify yourself as Italian, if any?
I guess a lot of things. The way I talk, the way I use my hands when I explain something, the passion. Because Italians are passionate people. Oh, and I love good food too! Bring on the pasta!!!
Let’s talk about Eurovision…Considering Malta always obtained good results in the contest recently, what will be your extra motivation to try reach the top 3?
It’s never easy because the contest is always very competitive. I am going to sing a song which gave me a lot of emotion, and I hope I can transfer that emotion to so many other people out there. I will certainly do my best, fully knowing I will get full support from my country.
On stage there will be a lot of emotions and feelings, you are going to sing “Breathlessly” and you will represent your nation, how are you preparing yourself for such an important event?
I am a very simple person, so I do not do anything out of the ordinary. But I just remain focus, do the things I usually do, and keep in mind that this is not only my song, but the song of the people too…. so I will just go there and sing my heart out.
From woman to woman, who will do your dress and make up?
The dress is being designed by a designer called Gaetano who has designed the dress for the finals in Malta, and Make-up boy will be Justin. I kept the same team.
Do you expect the 12 points from Italy?
I do not expect anything in life, but of course, I would love Italians to support me. That is all I can very humbly ask.
